Movable property rent in Uzbekistan remains main source of property income

Property income in Uzbekistan grew by almost a third for the first nine months of 2020 and amounted to 9.5 trillion soums ($917 million), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Despite the increase in comparison with the same period last year by 30 percent, its share amounted to 3.3 percent in the total income of the population.

Interest and royalties accounted for 19.2 percent of total property income. The dividends brought the owners 32.2 percent. The main source of income from the property is still the rent of the movable and immovable property, which amounted to more than 48.6 percent of the total income structure.

A significant part of the property income received for 9M2020 fell to the share of Tashkent city - 58.8 percent. The next regions with significant weight are Tashkent (8.5 percent), Samarkand (4.6 percent), and Fergana (4.4 percent) regions.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the total income of the population for 9M2020 amounted to 284.7 trillion soums ($27.5 billion), decreasing by 0.3 percent compared to the same period last year. The total per capita income amounted to 8.3 million soums ($801 million).

The average per capita nominal total income of the population for 9M2020 was higher than the national average in Tashkent city - 16.3 million soums ($2,573), Navoi - 13.5 million soums ($1,302), Bukhara - 10.4 million soums ($1,003).

A decrease in real aggregate income per capita was noted in all regions, including in Tashkent city - by 6.6 percent, in the Syrdarya region - by 5 percent, Andijan - by 4.2 percent, Fergana – by 4 percent.
