About 5.868 billion shares valued at $1.2 million changed hands at TSE for the day.
The Tehran Stock Exchange's benchmark TEDPIX index gained 26,029 points in early trading, the official IRNA news agency said, reached 1.290 million points in total.

The First Market Index was up 21,471 points and the Second Market Index added 43,232 points.

The FaraBourse Exchange also gained more than 303 points and remained stable at 16,164 points.

The total index of the Iran Stock Exchange soared from about 500,000 units at the beginning of the Iranian calendar year, starting March 20, to two million units in mid-August. Many experts have blamed government manipulation for the stock market increases, which have created a bubble.
Since the second half of August, the TSE index has fluctuated and dropped by 500,000 units in the last two months.
