Azerbaijan's Central Bank reveals year-on-year data on lending to household sector

The largest share of loans in Azerbaijan as of early November 2020 fell on the household sector, amounting to 45.8 percent, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA).

The volume of lending to the household sector made up 6.76 billion manat ($3.9 billion), growing by 5.2 percent (334 million manat or $196.4 million) over the year.

In trade and services structure, the volume of loans as of Nov.1, 2020 rose by 5.4 percent (130.5 million manat or $76.7 million) compared to the same date of 2019, amounting to 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion), while the share of the total volume of credit investments in this sector was 17.2 percent.

As to the field of transport and communications, the volume of loans amounted to 875.6 million manat ($515 million), which is equivalent to 5.9 percent of the total volume of loans in the real sector, and this figure decreased by 288.4 million manat ($169.6 million) over the year.

Besides, lending in the sphere of industry and production as of early Nov. 2020 showed growth by 323.5 million manat ($190.2 million).
