Azerbaijan's GDP in non-oil sector grows

The nominal incomes of the population of Azerbaijan decreased from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the nominal income of the population of Azerbaijan as of November 1, 2020, amounted to 46.05 billion manat ($27 billion), have shown a drop of 1.4 percent year on year.

Over the past 10 months of this year, the nominal volume of GDP in the country amounted to 58.5 billion manat ($34.4 billion), an annual decrease of 10.6 percent.

According to the data, for 10 months of 2020, the volume of GDP in the non-oil sector amounted to 36 billion manat ($21 billion), which is 2.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.

At the same time, investments in fixed assets amounted to 11.5 billion manat ($6.76 billion), which is 1.2 percent or 133 million manat ($78.2 million) more compared to the same period of 2019.

As of November this year, the average annual consumer price index (CPI) reached 2.8 percent, having increased by 0.2 percentage points over the year.
