Iran talks tax collection earnings for next year

TEHRAN, Iran, Dec. 14

Trend:

Head of Iran Planning and Budget Organization Mohammad Bagher Nobakht has spoken on the tax revenues for the next year, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"To date, 100 percent of the forecasted tax revenues have been collected in the current Iranian year (started on March 20),” Nobakht said.

He went on to say that for the next Iranian year, Iran did not forecast high tax revenues, so that $53 billion has been considered, while the current year's tax was $42 to $45 billion.

Referring to the mandatory of payment of taxes by some state-owned institutions. Nobakht said that in the past, some institutions were tax-exempt, but now all government institutions have to pay taxes.

He added that "only in the agricultural sector, a series of tax exemptions have been applied."
