Half of Azerbaijani Bank Avrasiya's liabilities fall on deposits in 2020

Azerbaijan’s Bank Avrasiya increased total liabilities by 12.1 percent in 2020 compared to 2019, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

In accordance with the sheet, the bank’s total liabilities in value terms grew by over 12.1 million manat ($7.1 million), reaching 88.5 million manat ($52 million).

In the structure of liabilities, the big share (49.7 percent) accounted for deposits despite their lowering by 18.2 percent for the year down to 44 million manat ($25.8 million). Of these, nearly 80.8 percent fell on individuals (35.5 million manat or $20.8 million). The remaining 19.2 percent accounted for legal entities (8.4 million manat or $4.9 million), dropping by 43 percent compared to 2019.

Liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions decreased by 4.85 percent over the year and amounted to 43.6 million manat ($25.6 million). Other liabilities made up 877,200 manat ($516,000), remaining almost unchanged in annual terms.

As the sheet noted, the bank’s share capital also remained the same as a year before (50 million manat or $29.4 million). The retained earnings slightly exceeded 19.2 million manat ($11.3 million), which is 6.8 percent more than in 2019. The capital reserves amounted to 1.9 million manat or $1.1 million (an increment of 12 percent).

The total capital of Bank Avrasiya amounted to over 71.1 million manat ($41.8 million) in 2020, growing by 2 percent.
