Banks and credit organizations in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic issued loans worth 18.6 million manat ($10.9 million) to economic entities involved in industrial production in 2020, Trend reports on Apr.7 referring to the report of the republic’s State Statistical Committee.
This indicator is 2.6 times higher than the level of lending to the industrial sector of Nakhchivan in 2010.
According to the report, the diversification of local production ensured the expansion of foreign trade relations, and in 2020 industrial products worth about $325.4 million were exported from the republic.
Nakhchivan's GDP amounted to 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion) in 2020, which is 1.1 percent more than in 2019.
