The issuers made coupon payments to 118 investors during March 2021, the number of investors is by twofold more than in the previous month, the Azerbaijan National Depository Center told Trend on April 9.

The volume of coupon payments amounted to 52.4 million manat ($30.8 million) and $22.1 million, thus, the National Depository Center performed the functions of a paying agent.

The issuers of coupon payments for the reporting period were the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance, AzerGold CJSC, Emba Finance non-bank credit organization, Pasha Yatirim Bankasi, Unibank OJSC, Ferrum Capital LLC factoring company and Bank VTB OJSC.

A month earlier, as a paying agent, the National Depository Center made coupon payments to 61 investors in the amount of 52.9 million manat ($31.1 million) while the biggest payments on bonds accounted for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance, namely, 52.9 million manat ($31.1 million) were paid on 10 bonds.

The National Depository Center is working to improve e-services.

So, a new e-service - "E-Cabinet of the Issuer", which provides issuers with the opportunity to view the register of securities holders online, has been created in this sphere.

To use the service, the user must have the access to a web browser and the ASAN Imza certificate.

"Another innovation is associated with a number of changes in the personal account of depositors,” the National Depository Center added. “So, the access to the securities account has also been created for legal entities. Previously, only individuals used this service."

The study of international experience in the capital markets, the application of optimal and advanced world standards are the priority issues facing the Azerbaijani investment market. The National Depository Center, as one of the fundamental institutions of the capital market, pays special attention to the development of international relations.
