Azerbaijan's 1Q2021 GDP slightly decreases

The gross domestic product of Azerbaijan (GDP) has decreased by 1.3 percent from January through March 2021 year on year, Trend reports referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, for the reporting period, Azerbaijan's GDP totaled over 18.9 billion manat ($11.1 billion).

At the same time, value-added in the oil and gas sector decreased by 7.3 percent, and in the non-oil sector grew by 2.1 percent.

As reported, GDP per capita in the specified period amounted to 1,891.1 manat ($1,112.4), having decreased by 1.8 percent on an annualized basis.

The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan predicts the growth of the domestic GDP in 2021 at 3.4 percent.
