The total assets of Azerbaijan’s Kapital Bank in the first quarter of 2021 increased by 26.6 percent compared to 2020, Trend reports on April 16 citing the bank's balance sheet.
In accordance with the report, total assets increased for the year by 1.2 billion manat ($705 million) up to 5.6 billion manat ($3.3 billion).
The biggest share (39.6 percent) in the structure of assets accounted for the loan portfolio in the amount of 2.2 billion manat ($1.3 billion), which increased by 8.4 percent.
Some 62.1 percent in the structure of the loan portfolio accounted for consumer loans in the amount of 1.4 billion manat that’s $823 million (an increase of 1.9 percent).
About 26.8 percent accounted for business loans in the amount of 593.7 million manat which’s $349.2 million (a decline of 6.6 percent).
Some 11.1 percent accounted for the loans for real estate in the amount of 244.6 million manat which’s $143.9 million (an increase of 4.3 times for the year).
The deduction of target reserves from the portfolio to ensure possible losses amounted to 289.8 million manat ($170.5 million), decreasing on an annualized basis by 5.5 percent.
Cash and cash equivalents accounted for over 35.9 percent of total assets.
The volume increased by more than twofold in annual circulation up to 2.01 billion manat ($1.2 billion).
The volume of deposits in other banks and financial institutions decreased by 63.3 percent, amounting to 360.9 million manat ($212.3 million).
During the reporting period, Kapital Bank issued the loans to the banks and other financial institutions in the amount of 11.6 million manat ($6.8 million), which is 1.4 times more on an annualized basis.
At the same time, investments in securities increased by 2.5 times up to 992.4 million manat ($583.8 million).
The unused real estate amounted to 60.3 million manat ($35.5 million) in the structure of long-term assets, increasing by 8.2 percent for the year.
The intangible assets practically did not change in annual circulation and amounted to 24.1 million manat ($14.2 million).
The bank's other assets are estimated at 204.1 million manat ($120.05 million) in the first quarter of 2021.
