A total of 167 trillion rials (about $3.97 billion) worth of loans were issued to small and medium-sized enterprises in Iran, as well as unfinished enterprises, which have 60 percent progress in construction over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the statistics, these loans were issued to 5,040 enterprises for economic development and increase production in Iran.
“In general, 15,100 manufacturing enterprises and unfinished enterprises were registered to receive loans last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
However, the names of 9,690 enterprises were announced to banks for issuance of loans worth about 425 trillion rials (about $10.1 billion), the statistics said.
Reportedly, there are 84,000 industrial enterprises in Iran. About 93 percent of them are small industrial enterprises.
