Average annual inflation accelerates in Azerbaijan

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Azerbaijan had grown from January through June 2021, Trend reports on July 15 referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, this indicator increased by 4.3 percent compared to the first half of 2020.

The CPI for food, drinks, and tobacco products rose by 4.9 percent, non-food products - by 3.9 percent, and the paid services to the population - by 3.5 percent year on year.

In June this year, the CPI in the country reduced by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month, and grew by 4.7 percent compared to June 2020.
