Volume of non-cash payments by foreigners in Azerbaijan considerably grew in June 2021, Trend reports citing the ‘Export Review’ of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the review, in the reporting month foreign citizens spent 48.3 million manat ($28.4 million) in the country, using bank cards, which is rise by more than two times compared to June 2020.
In the first half of this year, foreigners spent 193.1 million manat ($113.6 million) in Azerbaijan through bank cards, which is 31 percent less year on year.
Over 2020, foreign citizens have spent 430.2 million manat ($253 million) in Azerbaijan through bank cards, which is 65.7 percent less compared to 2019.
