Money transfers from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan in August 2021 amounted to 2,700 transactions in the amount of 1.1 billion Kazakh tenge ($2.8 million), Trend reports via the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Azerbaijani share in the total amount of money transfers from Kazakhstan to other countries was 1.1 percent.
During the specified period, the number of transactions to Azerbaijan increased by 12.5 percent, and the number of transfers decreased by 8.3 percent compared to January 2021. The number of transactions decreased by 10 percent, and the number of money transfers remained unchanged, compared to June 2021.
Money transfers from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan from January through July 2021 amounted to 22,200 transactions worth over 9.6 billion Kazakh tenge ($22.5 million).
In August 2021, money transfers from Kazakhstan abroad through the international system amounted to 256,000 transactions in the amount of 100.3 billion Kazakh tenge ($236 million).
