The Tejarat Bank of Iran provided loans worth 31.8 trillion rials (about $757 million) to 331 startup companies in country, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the bank’s website.
Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the bank had provided loans worth 19.1 trillion rials (about $456 million) to 329 startups.
Iran's Tejarat Bank has been taking positive steps in recent years to develop startups and contribute them to Iran's economy.
As reported, Iranian banks issued loans worth about 199 trillion rials (about $4.73 billion) to 857 startups within 6 months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 102.6 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
