Iran sees increase buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange

A total of 2.13 million tons of goods worth more than 188 trillion rials (about $4.47 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 13 through November 18, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 48 percent in value and 13.6 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (November 6 through November 11, 2021).

So, 1.87 million tons of goods worth more than 127 trillion rials (about $3.04 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, about 1.73 million tons of goods worth about 126 trillion rials (about $3 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

In addition, more than 382,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 58.9 trillion rials (about $1.4 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

Furthermore, 14,900 tons of various products worth 2.37 trillion rials (about $56.6 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.

At the same time, 1 ton of saffron worth 235 billion rials (about $5.59 million) was sold in the agricultural section of the exchange.
