The turnover of securities on Azerbaijan’s Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) exceeded 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) in January 2022, which is by 29.32 percent less year-on-year, Trend reports citing BSE.
The number of transactions concluded in 2021 increased by 45.5 percent to 847. Some 52.3 percent of BSE’s turnover or 597.4 million manat ($351.4 million) accounted for the state securities, which is by 54.6 percent or 2.2 times less year on year.
According to the BSE, the volume of trade in corporate securities increased by 14 percent and amounted to 75.5 million manat ($44.4 million), repo transactions - by 102 percent, amounting to 468.2 million manat ($275.4 million).
BSE’s capitalization amounted to 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion).
