BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Iranian banks issued loans worth 565 trillion rials (about $13.4 billion) in the services sector, during the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022) Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, 71.8 trillion rials (about $1.7 billion) worth of loans were issued for the establishment of enterprises and facilities in the services sector of Iran over the reporting month.

"Moreover, Iranian banks issued loans worth 464 trillion rials (about $11 billion) as working capital in the services sector within the first month," the statistics said.

At the same time, Iranian banks issued loans worth 21 trillion rials (about $500 million) for the development of enterprises and 1.53 trillion rials ($36.4 million) for self-employment in the services sector for the 1st month, statistics said.

Moreover, 1.51 trillion rials (about $36 million) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of housing, 2.16 trillion rials (about $51.4 million) for repair work, and 131 billion rials (about $3.1 million) for the purchase of personal assets in the services sector.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 1.43 quadrillion rials (about $34 billion) in various economic sectors for the first month.

The figure stood at 265 trillion rials (about $6.32 billion) in the same month the last Iranian year.
