BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The loan portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan increased by 22.1 percent in April 2022 compared to the same period last year, exceeding 17.8 billion manat ($10.4 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR).
The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 14.6 billion manat ($8.5 billion) in April 2021.
According to CBAR, the share of business loans in the structure of loan portfolio was 57.8 percent (10.3 billion manat - $6.05 billion) in April 2022, consumer loans - 27.6 percent (4.9 billion manat - $2.8 billion), mortgage loans - 14.4 percent (2.5 billion manat – $1.4 billion).
