BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 9. The Azerbaijani Unibank plans to issue bonds worth 6.8 million manat ($4 million), Trend reports via the bank.
According to the bank, the issuance of 2.5 million ordinary registered uncertificated shares with a nominal value of 2.72 manats ($1.6) each is envisaged at the last stage of the capitalization.
The placement underwriter is "Unicapital İnvestisiya Şirkəti" JSC investment company.
The capitalization program implemented upon shareholders' decision, consists of two parts with the involvement of an additional issuing of shares and subordinated debt. The estimated capital gains for both components should be completed by the end of the year.
Following the Unibank shareholders' decision, the bank capital will rise by more than 29 million manat ($17.06 million) in 2022. The first stage was completed in August, which resulted in the growth of the bank's authorized capital by almost 12 million manat ($7.059 million). The second stage involved raising capital by attracting subordinated debt and was completed on November 30.
Previously, on October 1, the authorized capital of Unibank JSC was 142.586 million manat ($83.8 million).
