BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. The total liabilities of Azerbaijan's Unibank increased by 41.97 percent as of December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports via the bank's balance sheet.

According to the balance sheet, the total liabilities of the bank increased by 392.3 million manat ($230.7 million) to 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million).

A significant share (74.57 percent) in the structure of liabilities accounted for deposits, which grew by 40.68 percent over the year - up to 989.7 million manat ($582.1 million). At the same time, the share of deposits of legal entities in the mentioned structure equaled 22.06 percent. Deposits of legal entities grew by 65.1 percent over the year and amounted to 218.3 million manat ($128.4 million).

The share of deposits of individuals in the structure of liabilities of Unibank amounted to 77.94 percent. These deposits increased by 35.03 percent over the year - up to 771.3 million manat ($453.7 million).

The bank's liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions amounted to 198.9 million manat ($117 million).

The bank's liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased by 33.3 percent and amounted to 17.3 million manat ($10.1 million), other liabilities - 66 million manat ($38.8 million).

The share capital of Unibank amounted to 138.2 million manat ($81.2 million) as of December 31, 2022, up by 5.75 percent over the year.

The bank’s capital reserves equaled 9.7 million manat ($5.7 million), thus having grown by 18.6 percent over the year. The bank's retained earnings amounted to 35 million manat ($20.5 million).

The total capital of the bank in the fourth quarter of 2022 amounted to 113.3 million manat ($66.6 million).

Unibank completed the fourth quarter of 2022 with a net profit of 557,000 manat ($327,647), while this figure in the same period of 2021 was 4.6 million manat ($2.7 million). Thus, Unibank's profit for the year decreased by 88.12 percent.
