BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank ranked first among the banks in terms of expenditures in the fourth quarter of 2022, Trend reports.

According to the bank's financial report, the total expenditures of Kapital Bank equaled 542.8 million manat ($319.2 million) during the accounting period.

International Bank of Azerbaijan took second position with total expenditures of 384.8 million manat ($226.3 million).

PASHA Banks ranks third with total expenditures worth 283.9 million manat ($167 million).

The total expenditures of the first three banks amounted to 1.211 billion manat ($712.35 million), or 59.15 percent of the overall expenditures of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (2.048 billion manat or $1.2 billion), or 47.65 percent of the overall expenditures of all banks of Azerbaijan (2.5 billion manat or $1.47 billion).

According to the CBA, the net profit of the banking sector increased by 305.5 million manat ($179.7 million), or 50.16 percent from January through December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 - from 609 million manat ($358.2 million) to 914.5 million manat ($537.9 million).
