Azerbaijan and Russia to Coordinate Action Plan on Cooperation in Information Technology

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S. Babayeva / An action plan on coopertaion beyween Azerbaijan and Russia in the sphere of information technology will be coordinated during the meeting of Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technology, with his Russian counterparts, the Ministry said on 24 October.

The Azerbaijani minister is participating in a two-day international exhibition and forum 'InfoCommunications of Russia - the 21st century', which began on 24 October. The Minister is going to deliver to the forum a report on Digital Cut in Globalization. He is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the representatives from the communications administrations of the countries participating in the show.

The exhibition-forum InfoCom is held with support from the Russian Ministry of Information and Communications and is a huge event in the Russian sector of technology and communications, intended to demonstrate innovative achievements of the ICT market, great scientific-research and intellectual opportunities of the country.

The Russian Ministry of Information and Communications said that this year a special exposition unified under the title 'Technology for All' and intended for a large circle of interested people, including professionals and info-communications services, was created at the exhibition and forum InfoCom 2007.
