Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The state enterprise Azerpocht at the Azerbaijani Communication and Information Technology Ministry implemented postal orders through the Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information (STEFI) from the beginning of the year with six countries on AZN 2mln.
Some 75% sum of operations was implemented with Russia. Russia is the main partner and possess a large share both in operations of STEFI system and international money trafficking through Azerpocht
Azerpocht has been cooperating with Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan since 2004 and Moldova and the United Arab Emirates since 2005. An agreement was signed to implement postal orders with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The negotiations are held with Estonia, Iran and Turkey in order to join them among the Azerpocht partner-countries.
