Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January / Trend corr. S. Babayeva / Elmir Valizade, the Azerbaijani Deputy Communications and IT Minister, has been appointed as the head of the newly established- Coordinating Council for Development of Internet, appended to the Communications and IT Ministry, said Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister, on 16 January at a meeting dedicated to the results of 2007.
The meeting approved of the 'Charter of the new Council', which was established for solving the problems in the field of internet (especially those connected with the Azerbaijani domain), for managing the domain AZ and for the other issues related to this field.
The Coordinating Council will include 9 members from the State, private and non-governmental sector. The list of the candidates must be submitted to the Communications Minister within the 15 days, for the consideration.
