Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 January / Trend corr S. Babayeva / Satellite antennas receiving foreign channels in Azerbaijan will not have to be registered with the State, a source at the State Radio Frequency Department at the Azerbaijani Communications & IT Ministry said on 22 January.
"Only owners who have a commercial purpose will need to register. Registration for the public has not been on the agenda and there are no plans to discuss this," the source said.
According to the Azerbaijani National Television & Radio Council, there are 21 TV channels, 14 of them regional, and 12 cable TV channels operating in the country.
