Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 March / corr Trend S.Babayeva / A strategic agreement on cooperation between Microsoft corporation and Azerbaijan Government will be signed in the nearest three months, Teymur Akhundov, the General Director of Microsoft Azerbaijan, said.
"At present we carry out intensive talks with the Ministry of Communications and Information, which represents the Azerbaijan Government in the talks, he said.
The agreement will reflect the protection of Azerbaijan's intellectual property, legalization of software and implementation of Microsoft's investment projects in Azerbaijan.
An issue on signing of an agreement on strategic cooperation between the Azerbaijan Government and Microsoft was discussed within the framework of the World Economic Forums in Davos by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Kreyg Mandi, the Microsoft Director for Researches and Strategy.
Since 2005, Microsoft Azerbaijan has been operating. The company is engaged in the development of software and promotion of products of the corporation, supporting partners and customers, as well as localization of new technologies of corporation and implementation of social projects on the territory of Azerbaijan.
