Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 April / corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ The Ministry of Communication & Information Technology of Azerbaijan have supplied over 4,000 families with telephone lines in January and March, the Ministry said.
The total number of lines during this period totalled 4,080. All telephone numbers were provided by Aztelekom PA.
Aztelekom PA provides Baku and all areas of the country (excluding Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) with telephone, trunk communication and long-distance communication. Apart from 54 communication companies, the association includes Baku Trunk Communication Network, and Technical Network of Cable Main and Repairs Company.
The services offered by Aztelekom PA are as follows:
local, trunk and long-distance telephone calls
lease of analog, digital and broadband channels
custom calls using Code 107
pre- paid calls using Codes 181 and 123
TOLL FREE using 088 XXXXXXX code
AZTELEKOM.NET (provider service)
Public telephone box calls (local, trunk and long-distance talks)
CDMA standard mobile calls.
In 2006 the Ministry of Communication has put 132,488 telephone numbers into circulation.
