Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 April / corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ The income of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Azerbaijan rose by 5.8% in first quarter as compared to the same period of 2007. The total volume of income made up AZN47mln, the Ministry reported.
The income from the payment by population exceeded AZN20mln.The government investments into IT sphere totaled to AZN4.3mln in January and March.
In 2007, the government bodies invested AZN39.3mln, with total volume of investments in this field reaching AZN158.4mln. In 2007, the income of the Ministry totaled to AZN186.1mln, AZN70mln of which accounts for the offered services.
