Rise in International Incoming Traffic in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 April / corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ The incoming traffic of international calls has increased by 28.72 million minutes in the first quarter of 2008 in comparison with 2007 and made up 111.2 million minutes, said Vidadi Zeynalov, the Head of Administration of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

According to Zeynalov, the outgoing traffic has increased by 6.59 million minutes and totaled to 32.12 million minutes.

According to Tariff Council decision, the tariffs for outgoing calls from Azerbaijan to the CIS and Baltic states has reduced from AZN0.45 to AZN0.36, form AZN.54 to AZN0.45 for Iran, Turkey and Pakistan, from AZN0.72 to AZN0.54 for European countries and from AZN0.9 to AZN0.54 for U.S. and other countries.
