Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 May / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ At the beginning of June, state-run Azerpocht of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & IT will select a consultant to audit its activities, the company reported.
Azerpocht asked three companies - Deloitte and Touche, Ernst and Young, Moore Stephens - to participate in selection of auditor. Application period completed on 20 May.
"The audit will be financed by the World Bank (WB) within the framework of the project Development of Financial Services. The auditor must be approved by the Bank," Azerpocht reported.
After the contract is signed, the winner company will have to audit Azerpocht's activities in 2007 within two months. It is the first time for Azerpocht to hold this type audit.
