CATEL Renders SDMA Services in Azerbaijan’s Lankaran and Astara Regions

Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 October/corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ The first mobile operator of CDMA standard in Azerbaijan CATEL announced about expansion of coverage area of its network in other regions. Services of CDMA are available now in Lenkoran and Astara.   

All coverage of network includes Absheron peninsula, as well as Baku, Sangachal, Alat, Kurdamir, Udjar, Shirvan, Goychay, Mingechevir, Ganja, Shamkir, Agstafa, Balakan, Davachi and Nabran.

CATEL plans to expand coverage area on Tovuz, Gazah, Agsu, Guba and other cities and regions by the end of year.

CATEL has 30,000 subscribers, 15,000 of which  are subscribers of CDMA network 

CATEL Co. was established in 1997, and it was officially inaugurated in 1999.

CATEL is a local telephone operator and renders services of wireless communications of FH-CDMA standard for subscribers of WLL (wireless subscriber access), as well as of 3G CDMA standard for subscribers of mobile communication.

The company took out new brand FONEX to the market for rendering services of cellular communications of CDMA2000 standard in April, 2007.
