Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 October / Trend / The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan announces the beginning of project "Journalist of Information Society - 2008", basic purpose of which is to help establishment of information society in the country, ensure popularity of this idea and bring to the wide audience the advantages of using information- communication technologies (ICT) in all spheres of activity.
Within the
project, there will be heard lectures and organized competition on the best
publication amongst the journalists and the media outlets in the sphere region
of Information Society. The competition can be attended by the journalists and
media outlets, publishing materials in the sphere of ICT and establishment of Information
Society.
Competition shall be conducted in two nominations: the
best journalist of Information Society and the best media outlet of Information
Society. The winners will receive prizes from the companies HP and Ultra.
The lectures, which will be attended by approximately 30 student-journalists
and representatives of the acting media outlets, will be carried out in the
training center of the Production Unit Aztelekom and cover 12 themes.
The purpose of conducting lectures is to
get familiarized with the present situation in the ICT sphere of the country, ensure
objectivity during reporting events or provide any information on this sphere,
correct use of special terms and others
Project will last supposedly for three months.
