Internet World Stats reported that there are 1.5 million Internet users in Azerbaijan.
The figure is higher than the number of Web users in Georgia and Armenia.
The 2008 report placed the number of Internet users in Azerbaijan at slightly over one million.
Asian countries account for 41.3 percent of the world's Internet users, the report said.
