Baku's tourism and information center expands Online-reservation over regions

Baku's tourism and information center under the ministry of culture and tourism plans to expand On-line reservation at regional level, tourism department head Zaur Aliyev told trend Capital on July 2. 

Presently, operations are held to expand this service in Sheki-Gabala zone. Territory of Lankaran and Guba will be covered in future, he said.

Presently, system is successfully used in Baku. Exchange of information about rooms in rest houses and hotels is conducted via E-mail at regional level. 

Network is based on VPN (Virtual Private Network). It allows uniting local network of individual offices connected to general use in united virtual network by ensuring secrecy and integrity of transmitted information. Use of VPN technology is necessary for protection of corporative network from viruses, hackers and other threat.

Activity of many tourist agencies is conducted at regional level. It creates certain problems in collection of information. First, corporative network of Baku's tourism and information center is directed to remove these problems.
