As part of the "People's Computer" pilot project, over 2,000 computers were sold, CEO of Bestcomp Group Rauf Hasanov told Trend on July 23.

He said that the project's first phase will end soon and regarding this, the issue of its further implementation is expected to be reviewed.

The pilot project, which was to be implemented within four months, started in early April. Computers offered under the "People's Computer" project have been designated for teachers only at this stage. The project involves providing computers via credit without interest rate for 12 months at a price lower than the market value by 25-40 percent. The project was implemented with the participation of Microsoft and HP. The deliveries of the equipment were carried out by the local HP partner Bestcomp Group company.

Under the project, HP has issued 5,000 MiniNotes, laptops and desktop computers.
