LTE network will be developed on Azerbaijani mobile communication market by late 2009, president of Azercell Telekom, Ali Agan, told media.
He said that LTE technology is being tested in the world. The technology has been successfully tested by TeliaSonera Company. Its Eaurasian business sphere covers Azercell Telecom's activity. Agan said that this technology will be represented on Azerbaijani telecommunication market for the next two months.
At present, Azercell Telecom is technically ready for introduction of 3G technology. It will be put into operation immediately after a procedure of licensing is completed.
Presently, the company has held the talks and implemented corresponding operations on this issue. Head of Azercell Telecom said that 3G technology is expected to be introduced in Azerbaijan till late 2009.
3G technology will be available not only in Baku and Absheron peninsula but in other big cities of Azerbaijan.
