Over 600,000 documents registered in e-data base of Azerbaijani notary archive

The state notarial archive of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice operates to transmit archival material of notarial documents in electronic and book form, the Ministry of Justice said.

According to the agency, there are over 600,000 notarial documents in e-data base of state notary archive today.

Azerbaijan pays special attention to creation of register of Azerbaijani population on the basis of which identification of citizens will be implemented in the sphere of corporate information systems.

Operations to form register are implemented within the project on formation of state register of Azerbaijani population. It was signed between the Ministry of Justice and the UNDP. Today, operations are being conducted to transmit huge archive of civil docuements from the middle of 1920 into e-format. The principal goal of the register is to have complete and current information of the population's status.

The state register will be a data bank, reflecting information of all Azerbaijani citizens, as well as people without citizenship and foreigners permanently living in Azerbaijan. The service of state register at the Ministry of Justice was charged to introduce state register.

Use of register's opportunities will allow minimizing bureaucratic delays, paperwork and introduce "single window" in future. E-archive of data will allow providing maximum terms and volumes of data storage.

The register of lost documents is planned to be created in parallel with formation of the population's register.

Public access to some data of register is planned to be created through the Internet.
