Azerbaijan fixes high demand for mobile phones with 3G standard: Nokia

Azerbaijan fixes a high demand for mobile phones with 3G standard, Nokia marketing manager in south of CIS, Ruslan Beisov, told Trend .

Beisov said that at present Azerbaijani mobile operators serve numerous mobile phones with this communication standard. The number of these devises will increase after 3G appears in Azerbaijan. 

"We also operate to develop mobile phones with 4G standard. Nokia company is one of few companies determining 4G standard. We will deliver mobile phones with this standard to the market as soon as 4G is ready for commercial exploitation," Beisov said.

Beisov said that the company has direct relation to this project to be realized in Scandinavia. It deals with the project realized by the biggest operator in Scandinavia TeliaSonera. It operates over creation of the first commercial network 4G in Oslo. 

European operators, including T-Mobile International, Orange, Vodafone Group, producers of mobile equipment Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortel Networks and Ericsson participate in introduction of LTE.

4G was planned to be launched in May 2007. Network will be launched for commercial purposes in early 2010.
