Iranian and Azerbaijani postal operators have reached a preliminary agreement on bilateral cooperation, Communications and IT Ministry Postal Department head Novruz Mammadov told Trend today.
Mammadov said the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation in international post, money transfers, and providing ground post to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via Iran.
He added that cooperation in these areas will be implemented under a memorandum signed by the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry and the Iranian Information and Communications Ministry during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Tehran March 10.
Bilateral meetings are planned to be regularly held in accordance with the signed document and.
