Secondary schools in Azerbaijan to receive 4,000 laptops in 2010

A total of 4,000 laptops will be given to Azerbaijani schools by the end of the year within the Intel innovation program "One student and one computer", the ICT press statement said.

"One student and one computer" project is implemented with the assistance of the Education Ministry within the scope of worldwide initiative Intel World Ahead. The main objective of the project is to develop innovative models of using laptops in primary and secondary schools in Azerbaijan. Laptops are given to students both for work at home and for work in school and for arrangement of conditions for effective application ICT in educative process.

Firstly, School 23 received laptops. Under the project, the school was given 110 laptops.

So far, secondary schools were given 400 laptops under the project.
