Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry entirely licensed used software of Microsoft Corporation, the Ministry said.
"The main advantage of such kind of licensing is that the current agreement allows the customer to save money, make payments within three years from the date of signing the contract, support to users and significantly reducing training costs," the Ministry said.
In accordance with the Enterprise Agreement signed between the Economic Development Ministry and the Microsoft, the customer, using the functions of the Software Assurance, in the contract period can take advantage of most new versions of Microsoft products.
Implementation of the project was possible as a result of cooperation of the Economic Development Ministry with representation office of the Corporation in Azerbaijan and a partner Microsoft - Azerbaijani company Ultra.
The activities envisaged in the agreement are being implemented within introduction of e-management in the Ministry. This system includes electronic circulation of documents, staff management, finance, management of public investment and other functional subsystems.
Azerbaijan began to use electronic signature in Economic Development Ministry's corporate information system for first time.
