Baku Telephone Communication PU under the Communication and IT Ministry has completed operations on transfer number capacity of automatic telephone exchange 423 to NGN technology (Next Generation Network), Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry said.
After transfer of number capacity of automated telephone exchange on NGN technology digit 4 (423) were replaced by 3 (323) with preservation of the following six-digit phone number.
As a result of the reconstruction of ATE, numbering capacity has reached 15,000 units, and the number of ports for providing broadband Internet reached to 5,000 units.
The operator will also reconstruct ATE 471/472/473 and increased coverage area of ATE-477.
ZTE Company is an equipment supplier. The operator is constructing new stations on the basis of NGN, which allows providing the citizens, along with traditional types of communication services as well as IP telephony services, broadband Internet and IP-TV. Presently, share of ATS of the Baku Telephone Communication is exceeding 87 percent.
