The Russian system integrator KORUS Consulting won the tender announced by the Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Ministry to implement the project on automation of organizational and regulatory documents in the ministry, the company said.
The tender was organized within the project "Pension and Social Assistance", signed between the Azerbaijani government and World Bank (WB). The companies Deloitte and Touche, EPAM Solutions, FORCE, RISK, SMART and N Vision Consortium and Ultra also participated in the tender
The e- document management system in created in the government department on the platform of EMC Documentum. The project automates core business workflow processes for the ministry. The first phase of the project has already been completed successfully, the requirements for the system defined and the development of the system in accordance with the requirements launched.
Ministry's International Cooperation Department Head Elnur Sultanov said the organizational and regulatory documents system that is implemented by KORUS Consulting will focus on admission of citizens' appeal to the system and control over the processing of these requests, as well as incoming and outgoing correspondence from various government ministries and agencies, NGOs and international organizations.
It is also expected to handle treatment of disabled persons, refugees, unemployed and job seekers citizens, Sultanov said.
"The project plays an important role in internal control on execution of letters. We hope that we can significantly improve, in particular, the quality of services to citizens with the help of workflow system, "Sultanov said.
In turn, KORUS Consulting General Director Alexander Semenov believes the ministry is one of the key state institutions of Azerbaijan, whose work directly affects the socio-economic situation in the state.
Semenev said this project is a wonderful experience for KORUS Consulting to work with the government entity in another country, which will strengthen the company's position in the CIS markets and the financing of the project by WB calls for greater accountability and results.
