iPad table-style computer will be delivered on the Azerbaijani market in September, MAC.AZ company director general (authorized distributor of Apple in Azerbaijan) Ramil Musayev told Trend.
He said that all products are delivered to Azerbaijan. They will be adapted in accordance with market needs. Products localized to Russian will be supplied with an additional keyboard.
"Mobile users will be interested in the device. The price will differ from the value stated by the manufacturer (from $499 to $829). New Apple will maintain the standard of third generation (3G) and wireless Internet access technology for Wi-Fi", he said.
IPad Customers will be notified of the date of supply and cost of production later. iPad will be delivered to Azerbaijan in limited quantities. There is a year warranty for Apple iPad.
First, iPad was presented by Apple January 28. Touchscreen device allows to watch movies, TV shows, play games, use the Internet, read e-books and newspapers. The capacity of the device is 16,32 and 64 gigabytes. iPad supports standard Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1, a battery unit is 10 hours.
Commenting on the question of supplying of smartphone Apple iPhone 4G to the local market, Musayev said that the date of the official delivery of these devices on the Azerbaijani market is not known.
MAC.AZ head said that sales of smartphones Apple iPhone 3GS in Azerbaijan, which began in January, were low because of the high cost of smartphones. Today, the cost of iPhone 3GS is 949 manat for 16 Gb and 1,099 manat - for 32 Gb. A new phone model iPhone 3GS was presented on the world mobile phone market in summer 2009. In June 2009, the phone went on sale in the U.S., Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and France.
It was delivered on the Azerbaijani market early this year. The delay was stipulated by several reasons, one of which is fixed price for iPhone 3GS. According to sellers, it was overestimated.
He said that if the operators subsidize the sale of iPhone, as it is done in the U.S. and Europe, the sales of these products are likely to increase.
Value of Apple smart phones with a two-year-contract signed with the operator ranges from $200 to $300 on the U.S. market.
At present, none of Azerbaijani mobile operators signed a contract to purchase Smartphone Apple.
