Nokia plans to open regional office in Azerbaijan

Nokia corporation plans to open a regional office in Azerbaijan until the end of the third quarter, Mobitel company (official distributor of Nokia in Azerbaijan) told Trend.

The company said that opening of an office testifies about strengthening of Nokia's position and the long-term development plans and promotion of products and solutions on the Azerbaijani market.

The company intends to become closer to its partners by opening the office. It will also respond to changing consumer preferences.

As said earlier Trend director of marketing for Nokia in the South Ruslan Beisov CIS, Azerbaijan is the second important country for Nokia company in the region of Central Asia and Caucasus, where the mobile phone market is growing steadily, Nokia company marketing director in the CIS southern countries Ruslan Beisov told Trend.

One of the important projects implemented by the company for Azerbaijani consumers is to develop a fully functional navigation map for Azerbaijan.

Today Image Map of Azerbaijan has been developed by fragments. It shows only the main trunk roads and towns.

Beisov said that Nokia will officially launch the navigation map for Kazakhstan in the third quarter. According to the plans, the company will deal with the implementation of the navigation map for Azerbaijan.

Nokia company renders all services of automotive and pedestrian navigation on the Nokia smartphones in the new version of the map Ovi free of charge. It will be downloaded from the official website of the company. When using the navigation, Internet traffic of a service provider is paid.

The new version of Maps Ovi includes all the functions of pedestrian and car navigation, step by step voice instructions for 74 countries in 46 languages, information about the state of motion of more than 10 countries, as well as detailed maps of more than 180 countries.
