Production Association Aztelekom of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has completed work on the reconstruction of Zagatala telecommunications unit, the ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, at present the central station operator S-12 includes 5,008 numbers, 25 rural digital telephone exchanges - 13,040 numbers, two satellite stations - 40 numbers and one station of a wireless communication standard CDMA - 1,600 numbers.
Zagatala telecommunication unit has 29 telephone exchanges that provide communications services to 19,688 subscribers.
According to the statistics of the department, about 64 telephones fall to every 100 families.
The number of broadband Internet users is 372. Today, about 12 rural telephone exchanges of the operator are connected to the central automotive telephone exchange through fiber-optic cables.
