During the first half-year the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies invested 44.7 million manat to the country's ICT and postal service sectors, said in the Ministry's report prepared on the results of six months.
Some 15.2 million manat have been invested in modernization of telephone communication network by the Ministry's enterprises and structures.
Some 6.94 million manat have been invested in reconstruction of regional telecommunication nodes, which allowed carrying works on installation of new electron automated telephone exchanges (ATE) with total number capacity of 45,504 numbers, fiber optic cable mains and connecting lines with length of 123.4 kilometers have been laid, over 6,000 subscriber lines have out into operation.
As a result of the first half-year, the country put into operation new ATEs with total number capacity of 46,113 numbers (on the ministry 28484). According to the Ministry's statistic data, at present number capacity of ATEs throughout the country hits 1637227 units (on the ministry 1433184).
