Head of Azerbaijani telecom operator head to chair Subregion Russia at Nokia Siemens networks Company

AzerTelekom CEO and member of the C-Ring Telecom board of directors Michael Chupa was appointed head of Subregion Russia at Nokia Siemens networks Company , the company said.

An official confirmation on rearrangements in the senior personal of the company is expected next week, the AzerTelekom Company told Trend.

According to Nokia Siemens Networks's official information, Chupa will take up his new position from Sept. 1.

Chupa was appointed as AzerTelekom CEA in early October 2009, replacing Cagdas Bergsan, who now holds the position of vice president of the JV C-Ring Telecom, created by the Russian CJSC Synterra and Azerbaijani AzerTelekom.

Chupa, who earlier headed group of online-services of Windows Live and MSN of the Russian branch of Microsoft, has considerable experience in the IT-market. His service record includes  managing positions in the Golden Telecom - Sovintel, in the Czech branch of Microsoft. Chupa also is the founder of Contactel - the largest alternative mobile operator of the Czech Republic, and he is known as one of the most active participants of the Internet development in the Czech Republic.
