A major U.S automated design system supplier is planning to develop training programs for higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan.

Autodesk will conduct customer surveys, select young professionals and hold talks with the Azerbaijani Education Ministry before implementing the training programs.

"We have only started discussing possibilities in Azerbaijan and we have already managed to hold meetings with key partners," Autodesk Regional Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus Rustam Ibrahimov said in an interview with the Infocity magazine. "It is necessary to carry out more work before we can proceed to select the educational institutions that will implement the programs. We will thoroughly investigate the market, and I hope that we will begin the project this year."

Meanwhile, students and teachers at local universities may participate in the company's 3D-education program, which allows them to use full-featured Autodesk products for free to draw and make 3D models, Ibrahimov said.
